During our Q&A Panel, you'll hear from industry professionals about what it takes to make it in the business of fashion. You'll also have a chance to ask questions and network with our panelists, giving you tangible advice and insight into how wardrobe styling really works. 


Marie Zydek, Wardrobe Stylist

Marie is a well-known Edmonton fashion personality, with a blossoming personal styling business and impressive portfolio featuring work with Kingsway Mall, West Edmonton Mall, Marc Cain, Delta Hotels, Avenue Magazine and other notable brands. She has been featured as a style expert on Global TV, CTV Morning, The Edmonton Journal and numerous other media outlets.  Marie will share her journey building her styling business and what it takes to make it in the industry.

Kim Larson, Art Director at Avenue Magazine

Kim is an industry-leading art director whose 15-year career has been marked by a combination of versatility and creativity throughout the province. Kim is the Art Director of Avenue Edmonton and Eighteen Bridges magazines. She brings together creative teams including stylists, photographers, illustrators, hair and makeup artists to create compelling magazine layouts and visual stories. Kim will share insight into what an Art Director looks for when hiring stylists, how to pitch yourself to a magazine for styling and what will get you hired back. 


Tina Chang, Photographer

Tina is foremost a fine artist whose innate abilities to render colour and use of light have transitioned her to the world of fashion and portrait photography.  Her attention to detail allows her to capture best moments and compelling images. Her portfolio features work for Poppy Barley, Sorrentino’s Compassion House, Avenue Magazine, Freq Magazine, Georgie Magazine, Vulkan, Fashion Magazine, Vogue Australia, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Grazia, Beauty Archive and more. Tina will share her experiences working with wardrobe stylists and how stylists can work with photographers to create powerful campaigns and images.
