Syncrude presents Fashion with Compassion is an annual fundraising event in support of Sorrentino’s Compassion House – a safe haven for women undergoing cancer treatment in Edmonton. Publicity Room spread awareness for their 20th anniversary event in 2016 through aggressive media outreach, a press conference and social media strategy. We landed over 20 media placements leading up to the event with major outlets including CBC, CTV Morning, Global News and the Edmonton Journal. The event sold out with 1400 guests. The night of the event, Fashion with Compassion was trending on Twitter across Canada.

So Pretty Cara Cotter is a delicate Canadian jewelry line made for layering. Publicity Room helped the brand celebrate the opening of its first showroom in Edmonton in 2016 with a private media event and public launch party. Our media outreach around the launch resulted in coverage for So Pretty in FASHION Magazine, Flare Magazine, Western Living Magazine, Vita Daily, CTV News, Where Magazine and stimulated some major social media buzz with local influencers and tastemakers.

Baby Plum is Canada's newest online boutique for design-minded families looking for chic, contemporary baby products. Publicity Room coordinated a media and influencer launch event resulting in media coverage in Western Living, CTV News, Vita Daily and family-focused Canadian blogs.

Paris Jewellers is a national jewelry brand with 29 locations across Canada. We worked alongside the marketing team at Paris Jewellers to craft a new narrative, with their employees at the forefront. The new concept refreshed the Paris brand, leaving behind the outdated catalogues of their past by humanizing the company through the stories of its people. For the reveal of their very first lookbook in 2016, we coordinated and managed a campaign photo shoot that would launch a refreshing new direction for the brand.

Sweet {Jolie} is a local women’s boutique empowering women to look and feel their very best. We've been working with the brand consistently since fall 2016 putting the community-conscious brand in the media spotlight dozens of times. For the month of February, we helped coordinate the #SJLoveYourself Campaign which resulted in thousands of dollars raised for the YWCA GirlSpace program and media coverage syndicated across Alberta. Sweet {Jolie} has been featured on CBC Radio, CTV Morning, Global News, the Edmonton Journal, St. Albert Gazette, Alberta Primetime, Dinner TV and more. 

WATCH IT! is the leading authorized retailer of watches & sunglasses in Canada. Publicity Room has worked with the accessories chain on three major campaigns, providing support in creative direction, wardrobe styling, and on set assistance. The photography from this campaign was used for in-store signage, print editorial, Watch IT! e-commerce and social media.

Bringing together two brands with major influence, we coordinated a creative partnership between Canadian retail icon, Simons, and bespoke footwear brand, Poppy Barley. The result was a month-long Poppy Barley pop-up inside Simons’ West Edmonton Mall location. The collaboration helped Simons connect and show support for a local fashion startup with a well established and loyal local following while providing lucrative exposure and sales opportunity for Poppy Barley.

Encouraging the message of sustainability in fashion, we partnered with Berg+Betts to create the online campaign, #TimeForChange. Fifteen online influencers across Canada shared photos of a Berg+Betts timepiece with a personal commitment for sustainable change. This campaign solidified Berg+Betts as one to watch in the Canadian accessories category. 

In 2016 we worked closely with PARKEXPO on building buzz around its inaugural event, a fashion tradeshow for both buyers and consumers unlike any other in Canada. In the wake of the loss of Toronto Fashion Week, we were able to catch the attention of national publications including La Presse, Retail Insider, LOU LOU Magazine, CTV,  SHAW TV, Trends Magazine, the Canadian Footwear Journal, and the CAFA blog. 

Pura Botanicals is an eco-conscious apothecary and natural perfumery raising awareness for non-toxic beauty and the importance of self-care. We landed Pura Founder, Lane Edwards a full page feature in Avenue Magazine Edmonton as well as features on key Edmonton fashion blogs. 

In 2014, iconic Quebec fashion retailer, Simons, opened its first store outside of the province in Edmonton's West Edmonton Mall. Our Founder Janis, worked alongside Simons' PR team to navigate the new market, build relationships and introduce Simons to Alberta. The multi-pronged campaign included a social media content creations, personal styling program, media segment coordination and wardrobe styling for BTV, CTV, Global, Shaw TV as well as numerous fashion shows and events. The strategy helped Simons create meaningful and long lasting relationships and position the brand as a leader in the fashion community.
